Community Service
We, Lamy's Black Belt Academy, Ltd., feel that getting involved in the community is important. As martial artists, we strive to build a better and more peaceful world. Our community involvement builds strength & character in each and every one of our students' life. We believe that by helping to build stronger communities through our charitable fundraisers and donations, we are also building stronger lives and stronger families. By having a strong community, we are doing our part in trying to build a more peaceful world.
Besides holding our "break-a-thon's" and "kick-a-thon's" , we have also donated numerous gift certificates, money, provided demonstrations among other items to charity fundraisers such as the High Hopes Balloon Festival, WZID's Christmas Auction, Charity Golf Tournaments, Library Reading Programs, School Clubs & Programs, Milford Lion's Club "Penny Sale" Fundraisers, supported Boy Scout & Girl Scout fundraisers. We have also entertained the elderly at local nursing or assisted living facilities and "adopted-a-family" from the SHARE program in order to help a family have a "Merry Christmas" by providing gifts for all members of the family at Christmas, to raising money for St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
