Lamy's Black Belt Academy, Ltd. is a family owned and operated Martial Arts School located in Milford, NH. The school is owned by Paul Lamy and his wife, Amy. Master's Paul and Amy Lamy began their training in Tae Kwon Do in 1990. Both Master's are local, regional, national and international Tae Kwon Do Champions. As a Red Belt, Master Amy Lamy was the AAU National TKD Champion in Point Sparring. Besides being a gold-medal winner, she has also won silver and bronze medals at AAU Nationals. Master Paul Lamy is 4-time Forms Champion, and an AAU National Champion as well. They first opened a school in 1994 in Lebanon, NH. However, after Mrs. Lamy was seriously injured (paralyzed) in an automobile accident in 1996, they were forced to close the school. Following Mrs. Lamy's recovery, they found themselves here in Southern New Hampshire where they settled down and re-opened their school in Milford. The school has been in Milford since July 10, 2000.
The school teaches the Korean martial art of Tae Kwon Do based upon the teachings of General Choi, Hong Hi and the International Tae Kwon Do Federation (ITF), but is independent of any organization or association.
Besides teaching Tae Kwon Do (TKD), our students learn valuable life skills. Skills that they can use in all aspects of their lives including Focus, Discipline, Confidence, Goal-Setting and more. Our students also learn about the importance of helping others through our community involvement projects and events. We have donated money, prizes, and our time to a wide variety of organizations, charities and events. At Lamy's Black Belt Academy, we believe in "building better lives through the martial arts" and that we "set no limits" on what we can do in our lives and what we can accomplish.
